Monday, January 13, 2014 - Serving in Clarksburg, MD!

Ok I'm just going to number off the questions:

1. I'm in Clarksburg MD.
2. My Companion is Elder Palmer he has been out for more than a year and he is the district leader.
3. I'm in the Gaithersburg 1st Ward; my first Sunday was awesome its like another P day since church is at 1pm.
4. This last week was a slow week but we are planning a full week this week.
5. We are teaching two families and have an appointment with another one this coming Thursday.
6. My companion is from small town Utah; but he is cool, just imagine another version of me.  He loves to play sports, music and cars.
7. As I said, nothing has really happened these last few days. We are working with the members more and we aren't supposed to track.

I'm doing fine and enjoying being out here.  I am in the nicest area; newest apartment, best ward in the mission, so if I get transferred it can only go down hill from here, so hopefully I will stay here for a long time.

My companion says that I am on the "leadership track" because his trainer, his trainer's trainer and his trainer all began leadership positions right after the end of their 12 week training, so I have that to look forward to.

I feel at home here, the people are amazing.  I have a couple of sisters in the ward to call Mom. Today one of them bought our groceries and I'm at her house writing my emails. I hope the Lord blesses her in abundance; her name is Sister Dziendziel.

I guess I have an accent and people do pick up on it - haha. I didn't get to announce my presence at sacrament meeting but the ward has welcomed me with open arms.

I hope all is going well at home and that you all are happy.

Love,

Elder Collins
