Tuesday, December 24, 2013 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Hello Everyone!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!  I am on my Mormon mission and I am currently in Utah at the MTC or Missionary Training Center. You can probably guess why I'm here; in two weeks I will leave and start my actual mission in Washington D.C. where I will stay for two years. Its weird being away from home, especially on Christmas. I know my family is missing me dearly -- probably to tears, because of the empty feelings and lack of awesomeness in the house:)!

I have learned a lot here at the MTC; it's a special place. I have never felt so happy and focused in my life. I know that I am doing a good work and I am just starting to see the happiness that comes into peoples lives when they come closer to Christ and try to emulate him.

I know that my Redeemer lives and that he loves us all. Jesus Christ bled and died for me so that I may be happy in eternity. That is why I am happy on Christmas, not because of the presents I received or the great feeling I get when I give someone a present. God sent his Son as a gift to the world so we can be redeemed through his selfless sacrifice. Jesus was born this day in a manager in the lonely, and humble circumstances. He lives and He loves us and the joy he brings into my life is immeasurable.
